China may soon lift ban on Irish Beef

CHINA could lift its ban on Irish beef as early as next year -- opening up a multi-million euro beef trade for thousands of Irish cattle farmers. Incoming Chinese president Xi Jingping met with the Taoiseach yesterday and is planning to send a team of experts to Ireland soon to examiner the quality of our beef.
The ban is a ban on EU beef going back to the BSE outbreak in 2000. Subject to all processes being passed this will be a fantastic boost to the 60,000 cattle farmers in Ireland
