Jackery SolarVault 3 Pro Max: Plug-and-Play Battery Solar Kit to Lower Your Electricity Bill

As electricity prices continue to rise in France and more households turn to solar self-consumption, Jackery makes a bold move with the launch of its SolarVault 3 series. The flagship model, the Jackery SolarVault 3 Pro Max, promises to turn a simple balcony or roof into a genuine home solar power plant. Pre-orders open on March 25, 2026 on the French market, with a notably aggressive early-bird offer.

Here is everything you need to know about this next-generation solar storage system.

Jackery, from portable devices to a connected home

Founded in 2012 in Silicon Valley, Jackery first made a name for itself with its portable power stations (the Explorer range) and its foldable SolarSaga solar panels, which became benchmarks for camping and van life. With more than 6 million units sold in over 50 countries and a trophy collection that includes Red Dot, iF Design, CES Innovation Award, and TIME Best Inventions 2025, the brand enjoys solid credibility in the world of nomadic energy.

The SolarVault 3 marks a strategic milestone: Jackery is officially transitioning from outdoor gear to residential energy, targeting the rapidly growing balcony solar systems with integrated batteries.

SolarVault 3 Pro Max: who is it for, what is it for?

The SolarVault 3 line-up comes in three models — the S3 Pro (1,200 W on-grid), the S3 Pro Max (2,500 W on-grid), and the S3 Pro Max AC (AC coupling for existing installations). The SolarVault 3 Pro Max is the one highlighted for France, and that makes sense: with its high output, it targets households looking to go beyond simple offset for standby or lighting.

Specifically, the Pro Max is designed for homes and apartments with substantial energy needs: washing machines, dishwashers, air conditioning, tumble dryers… so many energy-hungry appliances that can be powered by the stored solar energy, day or night.

Solar performance: 4,000 W input and 4 independent MPPTs

The core of the SolarVault 3 Pro Max is its ability to capture maximum solar energy, even in less-than-ideal conditions. The system accepts up to 4,000 W of PV input spread across four independent MPPT trackers. Each MPPT manages its own group of panels, meaning panels facing different directions or partially shaded won’t penalize the whole system.

Jackery’s stated result: up to 4,800 kWh of solar production per year, enough to cover a significant portion of the consumption of an average French household (about 4,500 kWh/year for a home without electric heating).

Expandable storage from 2.52 to 15.12 kWh

The main unit houses an LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) 2.52 kWh battery. The beauty of LFP chemistry lies in two strengths: a longer lifespan than standard NMC batteries and enhanced thermal safety. But the real power of the system lies in its expandability: by adding up to five additional battery packs (2.52 kWh each), total storage can reach 15.12 kWh.

For very large homes, Jackery pushes the concept even further: up to three SolarVault 3 Pro Max units can operate in parallel wirelessly, bringing the maximum configuration to 12 kW of solar input, 45.36 kWh of storage, and 7.5 kW of on-grid output. Enough to power a multi-story house.

2,500 W on-grid and 3,680 W bypass: real power

This is the point that differentiates the Pro Max from typical balcony solar systems, often limited to 800 W. The SolarVault 3 Pro Max delivers up to 2,500 W on-grid output, enabling heavy-duty appliances to be powered directly from the home grid. In bypass mode (off-grid), power climbs to 3,680 W.

In the event of a power outage, the system automatically switches to backup power up to 2,500 W (with a battery pack connected), with a fast enough switchover to keep sensitive equipment running.

AI-powered energy management

The SolarVault 3 Pro Max does more than store energy: it actively optimizes consumption thanks to an onboard artificial intelligence system.

Dynamic pricing

The system connects to real-time pricing platforms such as Nordpool, Tibber, Rabot and more than 860 European energy suppliers. It charges the battery when the price per kWh is at its lowest and discharges when prices are highest. An arbitrage strategy that works even without sun, at night or in cloudy weather.

Smart Mode

The AI predicts upcoming solar production, household consumption, and the battery’s state of charge to automatically select the most profitable operating mode. No manual programming needed: the system continuously adapts.

Whole-home management

By pairing the SolarVault 3 Pro Max with a smart meter (or a Jackery meter reader) and up to four connected plugs, you can precisely control consumption device by device, reduce standby draw, and optimize the operation cycles of energy-hungry appliances. The system is also compatible with Home Assistant, enabling full integration into an existing home automation ecosystem.

Safety: thermal detection, extinguishing system and certification

With a product that runs 24/7 in a home, safety isn’t a detail. Jackery has integrated several layers of protection into the SolarVault 3 Pro Max:

Terminal temperature detection — The system continuously monitors the temperature of PV and network connections and immediately alerts in the event of overheating.

Automatic aerosol extinguishing system — In case of critical temperature, an integrated fire-suppression system activates automatically, with no human intervention.

Advanced thermal management — A V-shaped airflow and thermal insulation plates keep the system stable even under continuous load.

Ruggedness and certifications — The SolarVault 3 Pro Max operates from , carries an IP65 (dust and water) rating, and relies on more than 100 protection mechanisms validated by over 1,000 reliability tests. The system is GDPR-compliant and TÜV-certified for cybersecurity. Jackery announces a 10-year warranty and a 15-year lifespan.

Plug-and-play installation in 5 minutes

One of the most compelling arguments for the SolarVault 3 is its installation simplicity. No drilling, no electrician required: just connect three cables and the system is up and running in about five minutes. This plug-and-play design makes it particularly suitable for apartments and rental housing, where permanent modifications aren’t feasible.

On the noise front, the SolarVault 3 Pro Max operates at ≤ 30 dB, the level of a whisper. The Jackery mobile app provides real-time monitoring, solar forecasts, energy-saving modes, and even offline control via Bluetooth. An Ethernet connection is also available for stable operation.

AC coupling: compatible with existing installations

Another major advantage: the SolarVault 3 Pro Max supports AC coupling up to 2,500 W, allowing it to be integrated with an existing solar installation in two ways. It can be plugged directly into a wall outlet to absorb the surplus from a grid-tied PV setup, or connect the AC output of a micro-inverter to the off-grid port of the SolarVault to store more solar production in real time. In both cases, no modification to the existing installation is required.

Our first impression of the SolarVault 3 Pro Max

On paper, the Jackery SolarVault 3 Pro Max checks many boxes. The 2,500 W on-grid output positions it above the majority of balcony solar systems available in France. The extensibility up to 15 kWh and the ability to parallel up to three units show that Jackery targets both small apartments and homes with substantial needs.

The AI-powered management, with dynamic pricing and predictive smart mode, is a true differentiator if the promises hold true in real-world conditions. The plug-and-play installation and Home Assistant compatibility complete a package that seems solid for the price, especially in the early-bird at €1,079.

Of course, we will need to wait for our full field test to validate real production performance, reliability of the onboard AI, and how the system behaves over the long term. We will come back to this soon on Daily Geek Show.
