Fortland Herd Dispersal This
Thursday 31 st of March.

1800 Cattle and Calves were sold at
Kilmallock on Monday last. In addition,
450 calves were sold on Wednesday
night and 300 organic stock on Saturday.
Trade continues to be on a high.
Bullocks sold for up to €1,700 each or
€2.72 per kg for heavier lots. Weanlings
sold for up to €1,380 each or €2.90 per
kg. Dry cows (202 on offer) made up to
€1900 a head or €2.71 per kg. Heifers
sold for up to €1,410 each or €2.76 per
kg. Dairy stock hit €1,660 each and
sucklers made up to €1,380. Up to €400
was paid for in the calf ring. On this
Thursday March 31 st the Fortland Dairy
herd Dispersal of 160 stock will take
place at 11.30. On this Saturday April
02 nd the Munster branch of Irish angus
will hold their premier sale consisting of
37 bulls of which 31 are 4&5 star.
