BULLOCKS HIT €2.75 PER KG AT KILMALLOCK

1900 Stock were sold at Kilmallock this
week including 1100 calves on Monday and
Wednesday. Trade continues to power along,
with 217 buyers doing business. The poorer
types, Fr bull calves with Jersey blood in
them are very hard to sell. Bullocks sold for
up to €1,590 each or €2.75 per kg. Dry cows
(141 on offer) made up to €1,560 each or
€2.02 per kg. Heifers sold for up to €1,300
each or €2.85 per kg. Dairy stock hit a high of
€1,580, up to €510 was paid in the calf ring.
We continue to ask sellers to bring stock to
the mart as early as possible on Monday.
Calf intake from 7am and cattle intake from
8am.
