Cattle report Saturday 2 July.
Very big sale for the time of the year with 1169 head on offer meeting an improved trade on previous weeks with many farmer customers both ringside and online for store cattle with factory feedlot and northern customers very active for forward stores and beef cattle.
Cows sold to a top price of €2880 for a Charlaois cow a ton weight bullocks topped at €2660 for a Charlaois bullock with up to €2000 give for beef heifers.
Bulls are still meeting a very strong trade from both farmers and shippers alike with many bulls making €3.50/kg for the quality suckler bred stock.
