Established in 1955, McDonalds have over 33,000 restauranted located in 119 countries throughout the worldAll of the burgers consumed in Ireland and the UK are produced in Scunthorpe in England which processes 3.5 million burgers per day.
All the beef processed is either British or Irish with over 70% sourced from Anglo-Irish suppliers. The factory requires the equivilant of 7.500 cattle per week to meet this demand.
