IFA - race is on for new president

The decision as to who will succeed John Bryan as president of the Irish Farmers Association will be known in December.
The race for president began Eddie Downeys campaign launch last night. Eddie, who farms in Slane, Co. Meath, occupies the position of Deputy President.
Also seeking the presidential position will be current Leinster vice-president Jer Bergin who farms at Ballacolla, Co. Laois.
I.F.A. Members begin voting in November.
