CATTLE AND PIG SLAUGHTER UP ON YEAR IN JANUARY 2013According to the Irish central statistics office, cattle slaughter in Ireland increased to 136.000 head in January 2013 from the 124.000 head slaughtered in January 2012. Pig slaughter rose to 264.000 (253.000) head.
