1 million payoff for Burren Farmers

According to the Irish Times:-FARMERS ACROSS Ireland�s flagship heritage landscape the Burren are to share a payout of nearly �1 million from the State after creating the optimum conditions for growing rare and wild flowers.
The payments of �972,000 are to be received tomorrow by 143 farmers in the Burren Farming for Conservation programme.
