Strong growth in Tractor Sales

According to the Irish Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) � purchase of farm machinery has gone the opposite director of motor car sales. The representative body for the Farm Machinery Industry indicates over 20% growth in sales of tractors in 2012. In total 1,893 new tractors were sold during the period.

By far the biggest growth in sales was in the Combine Harvestor business where sales increased by 100% ( from 40 to 80 during the year 2012).

These trends are most welcome by the members of the FTMTA whose worst year was 3 years ago after a 75% drop in tractor sales.
