2.7m EU promotion of Irish Fruit and Veg

The European Commission has approved a three year programme to promote fresh Irish fruit and vegetables in Ireland and the UK. The programme will be run by Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board, and is worth more than �2.7 million of which almost �1.4 million will be paid from EU money. In addition Bord Bia is to get a second funding of around �150,000 to promote dairy products in Ireland.
