FARMING IS THE MOST DANGEROUS OCCUPATION IN IRELAND!

Following on from one of the worst years in farm deaths and injuries  - it is time for all involved in farming to give farm safety a higher priority then ever before.

Our headline "Farming is the most dangerous occupation in Ireland" is unfortunately very true - borne out by the very useful infographic prepared by the Farmers Journal which amoung other items points out

  - Over 1,000 injuries in Farming each year

- In 2013     21 people lost their lives in farming ( which accounts for over one third of total workplace deaths.)

Theses statistics serve as a strong reminder of how important Farm Safety is for all farm families.

Start your Farming year off by printing out a copy of this "infographic" and placing it where you can remind yourself every day of the prime position Farm Safety should hold in your mind, every day of the year.
