She talks about lost calves<\/strong> with a steady voice<\/strong>, and first\u2011cut silage with a grin that is basically sunrise<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    \u201cMy friends in the city<\/strong> count steps,\u201d she jokes<\/strong>. \u201cI count cud<\/strong>. We both sleep well<\/strong> when the day makes sense<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

    The co\u2011op has become a kind of village<\/strong>, a mesh of milk lorries<\/strong>, lab reports and names you can call on a bad evening<\/strong>. Being youngest hasn\u2019t made her a mascot<\/strong>; it\u2019s made her a witness<\/strong> to what can still change<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
