In those blue-edged hours, Tom and Aisling from Thurles take the measure of a life they built on Spain’s Costa Tropical, three years deep and still slightly surreal.

They talk softly, the sea a low metronome, their mugs warm, the dog nosing the breeze. “Back home, morning meant a sprint,” Tom says. “Here, it’s a signal to slow down.”

Trading drizzle for shine

The move wasn’t impulsive, but it wasn’t a grand plan either.
