Tullow Sheep Breeders Association 3^rd Sale and show and sale of Cheviot Sheep Wednesday 13^th September 2017.

 

Suffolk x ewe lambs sold to a steady trade with the quality lots selling from €115 to €130 with up to €155 given for well presented well marked ewe lambs while the lighter ewe lambs were easier than we had seen the previous two sales and selling from a base of €90.

 

Cheviot ewe lambs sold from €115 up to €130 with some lighter pens offered selling from €80 upwards.

 

Cheviot hoggets met with a tight demand with trade representing from €170 up to €185 while the aged ewes sold from €120 for full mouth ewes with 3 & 4 yr olds selling up to a tops of €148 today.

 

The Suffolk and Cheviot x hoggets customer demand around the ring was lively with the trade representing from €155 to €180 with the majority selling from €165 to €175.

 

The Lleyn ewe lambs sold from €80 to €105 per head with the hogget ewes selling from €110 up to €145 while the aged ewes sold from €100 to €120.

 

Good clearance in the Suffolk ram ring with the majority of the rams selling between €380 and €450.
