MARKETHILL LIVESTOCK SHEEP SALE REPORT 18-06-20
An entry of 960 sheep in Markethill on Wednesday 17 th June returned a slightly easier trade for
spring lambs. Cull ewe prices remained very firm.
Good quality light lambs sold steadily from 420p to 448p per kilo for 20k @ £89.50 each followed by
438p per kilo for 21kilos @ £92 each.
Good quality heavy lambs sold from £92 to £95.50 each with good quality pens from 380p to 392p
per kilo for 24kilos @ £94 each followed by 388p per kilo for 24.3kilos @ £94.50 each.
Over 300 cull ewes sold to a top of £145 each with other pens @ £129, £125 & £121 each. Main
demand for well fleshed ewes from £85 to £110 each. Plainer ewes from £50 to £80 each.
