MARKETHILL LIVESTOCK CATTLE SALE REPORT 14 TH NOVEMBER 2020
An entry of 760 cattle at Markehtill on Saturday 14 th November brought the total numbers sold for
the current week to 1170 head.
BULLOCKS
An increased entry of 210 bullocks maintained an exceptionally strong trade with beef bullocks
selling to a top of £246 per 100 kilos for 710k Char at £1745 from a Ballyward farmer followed by
£236 per 100 kilos for 700k Char at £1655 from a Donacloney farmer. Main trade for good quality
beef bullocks from £210 to £230 per 100 kilos. Top price of £1775 was paid for a 796k Char £223
from an Annaghmore farmer. Forward feeding bullocks sold to a top of £249 per 100 kilos for 670k
Lim at £1665 from a Ballyward farmer followed by £248 per 100 kilos for 636k Lim at £1575 from a
Ballyward farmer. Main demand for good quality feeders from £210 to £235 per 100 kilos. Good
quality middleweight bullocks sold from £210 to £246 per 100 kilos for 370k Lim at £915 from a
Richhill farmer followed by £244 for 440k BB at £1075 from a Cullyhanna producer. Friesian bullocks
sold to a top of £176 per 100 kilos for 604k at £1065 from a Tynan producer followed by £160 per
100 kilos for 508k at £815 from an Armagh farmer. Main demand from £148 to £160 per 100 kilos.

producer. Main trade from £200 to £218 per 100 kilos. Forward feeding heifers sold to £262 per
100 kilos for 552k AA at £1445 from a Poyntzpass farmer followed by £241 per 100 kilos for 528k Lim
at £1275 from a Newtownhamilton farmer. Main demand from £210 to £231 per 100 kilos. Good

quality middleweight heifers sold from £210 to £248 per 100 kilos for 474k Char at £1175 from a
Pomeroy farmer.
