Castlerea Mart Market Report Re sale 18/06/20
On Thursday last we held a sale of Heifers, Cows, Calves, Runners and Weanling Heifers. Good numbers of stock were presented for sale with a lively trade prevailing especially for the quality stock on offer. In the heifer ring the tip lots topped out at €2.64 a kilo while in the weanling heifer ring the tip quality lots made up to €3.31 a kilo. Cows with calves at foot made up to €2200 for a Charolais cow and her heifer calf at foot. Dry cows with good numbers on offer reported a strong trade also while the calves and runners reported a good clearance.
