Despite the difficulties in the current climate we had a reasonable entry of cattle in Ballinrobe yesterday,
albeit the amount of customers were not as plentiful.
Some Examples Of Prices From Wednesdays Sale:
Heifers: 2 Charolais sold together 618 kg made €1305.00 or €2.11 per kg, a Limousine X 335 kg made
€900.00 or €2.69 per kg, a Beligan Blue 445 kg made €1035.00 or €2.33 per kg, and an Aberdeen Angus X
370 kg made €1040.00 or €2.81 per kg

Bullocks: An Limousine X 655 kg made €1450.00 or €2.21 per kg, a Charolais 475 kg made €1140.00 or €2.40 per
kg and 2 outlying Charolais sold together (pic above) 418 kg made €1050.00 or €2.51 per kg.
Top price in the Dry cows went to a Limousine 655 kg made €1265.00 or €1.90 per kg.
Top price in the Weanling Heifers went to a Limousine X 285 kg made €885.00 or €3.11 per kg.
Best price in the Weanling bulls went to a Charolais X 340 kg made €910.00 or €2.68
A Limousine cow with Charolais bull calf @ foot made €1740.00
Sheep numbers were back on last week with the trade also easier. Store lambs made from €72.00 to €108.00,
factory lambs made from €115.00 to a €122.00, fat ewes made from €85.00 to a €112.00
