Ballinrobe Mart Report 8th November 2017

 

Cattle and sheep still coming out in big numbers to Ballinrobe mart on Wednesdays. This week saw a find trade all round for stock with a noticeable greater demand for quality store heifers and bullocks.

 

Some examples of Heifer prices from ring 1, a Limousine X 515 kg made €1295.00 or €2.51 per kg, a Charolais 475 kg made €1190.00 or €2.51 per kg and 3 Aberdeen Angus 385 kg made €1010.00 or €2.62 per kg.

Some Bullock prices, a Charolais X 695 kg made €1585.00 or €2.28 per kg, a Limousine 495 kg made €1290.00 or €2.61 per kg and Belgian Blue 605 kg made €1320.00 or €2.18 per kg

In Ring 2, top price in the Weanling Heifers went to a Charolais 295 kg made €900.00 or € 3.05 per kg.

Best price in the Weanling Bulls went to a Charolais 385 kg made €1100.00 or €2.86 per kg

Top price in the dry cows went to an Aberdeen Angus X 695 kg made €1290.00 or €1.86 per kg.

A special sale of Limousine Springer's saw prices ranging from €1230.00 to €1670.00.

 

Sheep numbers were on par with last week. Store Lambs were making from €68.00 to €80.00 with ewe lambs making up to a €115.00, Factory Lambs were making from €73.00 to €110.00 with Fat Ewes making from €69.00 to a €94.00.
