Balla Weanling Sale Report....
The Tuesday evening the 23 th the weanling sale was held. The sale commenced at
5:30pm and there was a great trade with a lot of heavy weanlings making a ‘Rob’.
There was practically a full clearance of weanlings with buyers bidding online
using the Farmers Journal APK MartBids. Light Bull weanlings 200kg to 350kg
averaged 2.81p/kg. Bulls 350kg to 450kg averaged 2.64 p/kg. While 450kg+
averaged 2.29 p/kg. One lim bull born Apr ’20 weighing 485kg @ E1,180.00 euro
or 2.43p/kg & a 615kg BBX Bull that made E1,350.00, Heifers weanlings up to 350
kg averaged 2.73 Euro p/kg. Heifer weanlings 350kg to 450kg averaged 2.48 p/kg
with the weight while 450kg plus averaged 2.35 p/kg.
The next Special sale of weanlings will be in two weeks on Bank Holiday Monday
5th of April. A day sale held every year of weanlings that’s usually big with
booking on Thursday the 1st at 11:00am on 0818 301 401....
