Balla Mart Report....
The smaller online sale with just over 550 cattle. Sellers were subject to a drop
and go system. There was good buying for most cattle. Buyers bought using the
APK Martbids. Bullocks 300kg to 400kg averaged 2.36p/kg. Store bullocks 400kg
to 500kg averaged 2.16 p/kg...While heavier bullocks 500kg + averaged E2.12
p/kg.
There was 190 heifers this week. Heifers up to 400 kg averaged 2.15 Euro p/kg.
Heifers 400kg to 500kg averaged E2.23p/kg. While 500kg+ averaged 2.09p/kg..
There was a small sale of just over 80 cows and they averaged 1.61 p/kg. While
there was a 532 kg LMX char cow & lim bull that made E1,710.00 sold by a Cahir –
Louisburg farmer., The weanling sales on Tuesdays have finished and Weanlings
are now been sold on Saturdays
Bullocks and Heifers can be booked at 09:30am on Wednesday while Cows will
booked on Wednesday at 11:00am and as usual and weanlings at 09:30am
Thursday.
