Balla Mart Report....
A very big sale with just over 950 cattle this Saturday. Very busy and a good trade
for most cattle. There was fine sale of 420 bullocks that met a good trade. Bullocks
300kg to 400kg averaged 2.14p/kg. Store bullocks 400kg to 500kg averaged 2.22
p/kg...While heavier bullocks 500kg + averaged E2.09 p/kg.
Heifers up to 400 kg averaged 2.24 Euro p/kg. Heifers 400kg to 500kg averaged
E2.21p/kg. While 500kg+ averaged 2.13p/kg.. There was a sale of over 200 cows
this week and they averaged 1.61 p/kg….There was Apr ’18 LMX cow due in Feb
that made E2,000.00.
Bullocks and Heifers can be booked at 09:30am on Wednesday while Cows will
booked on Wednesday at 11:00am and as usual and weanlings at 09:30am
Thursday.
