Teagasc Organic Farm Courses If you are a new entrant to the organic sector and are going to join the Organic Farming Scheme you will first need to complete an accredited course on Organic Farming.

Teagasc are running a series of courses over the next 8 weeks.

25 hour FETAC Level 5
Introduction to Organic Production Courses
On completion of the course, participants will be proficient in:
■ Interpretation of organic standards
■ The principles of organic production
■ Assessing economic viability and market opportunities
These courses qualify applicants to the 2013 Organic Farming Scheme

Mon 15 April Teagasc, Portlaoise, Co. Laois
Thurs 18 April Teagasc, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan
Fri 19 April Teagasc, Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork
Wed 24 April Teagasc, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon
All courses run from 10am � 5pm, for 4 days
