Growth in Live Export of Cattle to Turkey

With a reputation of the largest livestock exporter in the world, Purcell Brothers have confirmed 3000 young bulls under 12 months and between 200kg and 330kg, will leave Ireland this week bound for Turkey farms for further rearing.
The shipping will be from Purcells livestock and shipping handling base near Belview Port in Wateford.
Another two shiploads are expected to leave in May with livestock aged approx 16 months.
Meanwhile Bord Bia are reporting a 42% increase in live Cattle exports in the first quarter of 2017 compared to 2016
