Achieving Peak Performance from Milking Process

All roads lead to the farm of Donie Ryan and family, Ballinoe, Milltown, Co. Kerry, on Thursday 13th July where Donie will kindly open his farm to the wider farming community from 12 noon to 4:30pm.
Many are watching with interest the progress and development of this farm where the Ryan’s are constantly updating facilities, with a focus on the most up to date dairy technology, hygiene and herd health.
The farm open day will feature nine exhibitor firms from across the dairy industry.
These include Kelllihers Feed and Agri Supplies, Dairymaster, CID LINES, Sinclair McGill, Gallagher Fencing, Southern Milling, Peat Bed, O’Connor’s Tractors and Yara Fertilisers.
This day offers the opportunity to visit this hi-tech farm and pedigree Ardywanig Holstein Friesian herd where average yield per cow is an impressive 9,000 litres pa.
A brand new Dairymaster Swiftflo Fast Exit 30 unit fully automated milking parlour has recently been installed on this busy dairy farm.
On the day there will be talks from renowned speakers within the dairy industry.
These will include Finola Mc Coy from Animal Health Ireland, Dr David Gleeson from Teagasc Moorpark as well as Robin Franzon from CID LINES Belgium and other industry experts.
This is an excellent opportunity for farmers to meet the speakers and trade exhibitors and to discuss everything from herd health, hygiene, to the overall development of a dairy unit. There will be live milking at 4pm where you can see and experience the parlours innovative features in action.
