Revellers in The Porter House pub in Kingscourt, Cavan had to flee their local when an unexpected visitor dropped by, in the form of a bull. The bull in question was in fact escaping from a farmers market located across the road from the pub. Seeing the open door to the rear of the bar, the bull shot for freedom and in the process he barged passed a smoker who ran back into the pub for safety.
After scaring the smoker half to death, the bull ran riot in the bar, smashing a pool table and taking a leak on the floor. The bull then stood staring over the counter as if he was searching for a tipple of his favourite drink. The pub’s landlord, jokingly said, “This is one customer who is definitely barred, but I wouldn’t fancy trying to stop him from coming in again.”

I think I read about this online. It sounded a bit far-fetched and I dismissed it as a load of Bull but it turned out to be true!

I wouldn't have fancied encountering that whilst enjoying a quiet pint mind. Still, can't blame the lad, I'd have fancied a stiff drink or two if I found myself up for auction at the farmers' market. There's been plenty of times when bad /no service has made me want to smash up the pool table and take a slash on the floor too!

Nice to see the landlord saw the lighter side of things!
