I have seen in the midlands papers that FarmersForum.ie are running a massive golf classic in Moate Co. westmeath on good friday. So get the milking done early and join all the farmers and farming businesses for an excellent day out. Well done to whoever got this up and running, its about time that the farming business got a shout at somthing like this I will be there anyway. € 5.00 for members and €15 for non members , it is for Ladies and Gents nothing else to do on friday so come along and support the Farming Community. See you all there and best of luck . loads of prizes. :D:D:D:D

That sound's great - hope the weather keeps up on the day¬!

By the way, what time does it start at and what is the format (singles, double, etc)?

Hi Thanks for the reply. The weather should be ok but a bit cloudy. The first tee time is 8 am and every fifteen minutes after that last tee time is 6 pm . It is both Ladies and Gents singles . We will be going out in a four ball ( that is four players together ) . Good prizes on offer in both Ladies and Gents categories. Stableford format the better you play the more points you get . GUI swipe cards in operation in order to win a prize. Thanks to all who post here lets get the word out .

FarmersForum.ie GOOD FRIDAY OPEN
Good Friday's open singles for Ladies & Gents, kindly sponsored by FarmersForum.ie, was a great success. Those who played in the morning had to contend with the worst of weather while the late starters played in tee-shirts! The Ladies winner was Veronica Coughlan with 41pts and runnner-up Eileen White with 39pts. The Gents was won with a whopping 45pts by Niall Rutledge off 15 h/c. 2nd was David Coughlan (4) with 44pts. Gross was won by Paul Fogarty (5) 34pts, 3rd Mattie Flanagan (22) from Castlrea GC with 43pts. Veteran's was won by Brian McGowan and the B9 by David Rohan. The club espaecially thanks our generous sponsor, FarmersForum.ie , our visitors and our members for your support of this competition.
